Jing is a gadget for taking screenshots and desktop videos.  It’s very easy to use! You can either upload it to screencast.com and share a link or save it locally.  Here’s a wee test:

Now, this is one that I use every day. As promised, the interface is clean and simple. I like to be able to open the app, get what I want and put it away. That’s just how you can use TwitterFon. And speaking of Twitter, you can follow me on twitter.com/craigatx. You can get more details about TwitterFon with screenshots and instructions at http://twitterfon.net/

I have to admit, I rarely use VNC for anything serious, but this is one of my favorite apps to just play with.

Mocha VNC

Mocha VNC

Mocha VNC provides access to a VNC Server. Using your iPhone, you can connect to a Windows PC or Mac OS X and see the files, programs, and resources exactly as you would if you were sitting at your desk, just on a smaller screen.

LITE VERSION:
Compared to the Lite version the full version has:
- Another cool key board
- Extra keys as ALT,CTRL, Option and the Apple key
- Support for right mouse button, hover and mouse wheel
- Macro support
- Ctrl+alt+del key. Needed if using Win 200x as a VNC Server

FEATURES:
- Standard VNC protocol with encrypted password signon
- 8 and 32 bit color modes
- Local Mouse support
- Zoom and scroll as the Safari browser
- Landscape mode
- Can handle 6 different Host configurations
- Has been tested with RealVNC, TightVNC, UltrVNC on Windows, and Apple Remote Management, which is included with the Mac OS X.
- A screen resolution larger than 2000×2000, as to memory and speed, is not recommended.

Lame First Post

There always has to be that first post.  The one where you explain what you’re trying to accomplish with your new blog.  Sort of like a mission statement or the “Objective” section of your resume.  So anyway, I am going to focus here mainly on iPhone applications and development.  I’m currently learning just that, but keeping my day job in the meantime.  Unfortunately, that means it’ll be slow going.  I find it hard to learn when I have to grab snatches of time here and there.  And, of course, I just took time out to set up this new blog….

Eventually, I hope you’ll be seeing lots of my own apps here, with links to the app store so you can buy lots of them so I can make a million bucks and retire and have a home in Austin and another home in Portland, and spend my days writing fun code or not or maybe just hanging out in coffee shops kinda like I do now, but with more money in the bank, maybe I’ll switch to cappuccinos instead of the cheap stuff, oh well, I shouldn’t worry about that yet.
